He has shipped 30+ SaaS products used by enterprise teams worldwide, influencing over $100M+ in ARR. > "I'd describe myself as a **designer by craft, a product manager by mindset, and AI-native by execution.** Throughout my career, I've worked on quite different problems — from helping farmers use technology to make better decisions, and building learning experiences, to designing Financial research platforms, Fintech, Cloud Security products, and AI-powered tools. What connects all this work is that I enjoy solving complex problems: turning complicated workflows and dense information into experiences that feel simple and intuitive. I work closely with Product and Engineering, think about business goals and technical constraints, and use AI tools to explore ideas, prototype, and build faster." - **Current Role**: Lead Product Designer at CloudSEK (AI-native Cybersecurity products). - **Core Specialization**: AI Product Design, Cybersecurity UX, Complex Data & Systems, Enterprise B2B SaaS, Design Leadership, Code Prototyping. - **Official Website**: https://kartik.world/ - **Portfolio & Case Studies**: https://kartik.world/projects - **Blog & Design Insights**: https://kartik.world/blog - **Email**: kartik.ux@gmail.com - **LinkedIn**: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kartik-ux/ - **Behance**: https://www.behance.net/kartiknick - **Calendly**: https://calendly.com/kartik-ux/30min - **Location**: Operates seamlessly across New Delhi & Bengaluru, India (Open to global remote & distributed teams). - **Education**: - Executive Education in Product Management & Agentic AI — ISB (Indian School of Business), 2025 - B.Sc. What problem were you solving, and for whom? **A**: One project I'm proud of is **AIVigil**, an AI security product I worked on at CloudSEK. The problem we were solving was helping security teams understand and manage the risks across their organisation's AI infrastructure. As companies adopt AI, there's a lot to keep track of, including AI models, infrastructure, integrations, security findings, and potential threats. The challenge was bringing all this information together without overwhelming users. Security teams needed to understand what was exposed, what was risky, and what they should do next. My focus was on making this complex information easier to understand, structuring it in a way that helped users move from identifying a risk to taking action. ### Q: Tell me about a time a product manager or engineer disagreed with your design. What happened? **A**: Disagreements are a normal part of product design. Product might be looking at business priorities, Engineering might be thinking about feasibility, and I'm looking at the user experience. We may not always start with the same solution. In those situations, I try to understand the reason behind the disagreement first. I explain why I proposed a particular design, what user problem it solves, and what the trade-offs are. I also listen to their concerns because there may be technical or business constraints I haven't considered. If we're still unsure, I prefer to explore a simpler alternative or build a quick prototype so we can discuss something concrete rather than debate opinions. The goal isn't to prove that my design is right; it's to find the solution that works best for the user and the product. ### Q: You have mostly worked in Fintech and cybersecurity, will you be able to work in other domains like Healthcare? **A**: Yes, absolutely. The domain can change, but the fundamentals of good product design remain quite similar. When I moved between fintech, cybersecurity, and other enterprise products, I had to learn new users, workflows, and business problems each time. I usually start by understanding the domain, talking to people who work in it, and learning how they use the product before jumping into solutions. My experience in cybersecurity and fintech has also taught me how to handle complex information, understand different user needs, and simplify difficult workflows. Healthcare is an exciting domain where design can make a real difference, and I approach any new domain with curiosity, listening to domain experts, and rapid learning. ### Q: What do you need from us during the interview process to show your best self? **A**: I do my best work when I understand the problem and the context behind it, rather than just the task. So, during the process, I'd appreciate the opportunity to talk through a real product problem, understand how the team thinks about users and the business, and show how I approach the problem rather than just presenting polished screens. I'm also happy to go deep into my past work and discuss the decisions, trade-offs, and things I would do differently. That's where I feel I can give you the best sense of how I think and work as a designer. ### Q: What is your life like outside of work? **A**: Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wife and family. I love travelling, taking spontaneous weekend road trips, exploring new places to eat, and doing photography. I’m also a big dog lover (my dog is featured on my portfolio), and I enjoy playing with new AI tools and building fun little weekend micro-projects just to see what’s possible. ## Career History & Track Record 1. **CloudSEK** (Mar 2026 – Present) — Lead Product Designer - Leading product design across AI-native cybersecurity platforms including AIVigil (AI attack surface risk discovery) and SVigil (third-party supply chain risk intelligence).
